From open savannah and acacia woodland to the shores of the Great Rift Valley, this short safari offers an excellent opportunity to experience Tanzania’s wildlife and natural landscapes while enjoying comfortable mid-range accommodation.

Day 01: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Distance: Approximately 130 km
Non-Game Viewing Driving Time: 3–4 hours
After breakfast, meet your safari driver-guide and depart from Arusha towards Tarangire National Park. Before leaving town, you will have a short opportunity to make any last-minute purchases or preparations for your safari.
Continue to Tarangire, a spectacular wildlife area best known for its large elephant population, magnificent baobab trees, and diverse landscapes.
The park forms part of an important seasonal wildlife movement route, attracting significant numbers of elephants, wildebeest, zebras, and other animals at different times of the year.
Once inside the park, enjoy an extensive game drive through the savannah and woodland areas. Keep watch for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, and a wide variety of bird species.
After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, leave the park and continue to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 02: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha
Distance: Approximately 101 km
Non-Game Viewing Driving Time: 3–4 hours
After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up at approximately 8:00 AM. Following a brief safari orientation, begin your journey towards Lake Manyara National Park.
The drive takes you through the fertile farmlands around Karatu before continuing through Mto wa Mbu, a lively town located close to the park entrance. The town is well known for its local crafts, markets, souvenirs, and cultural diversity.
Continue into Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive through its varied landscapes. The park is particularly famous for its lush vegetation, large elephant herds, abundant birdlife, and the possibility of spotting its distinctive tree-climbing lions.
The beautiful Lake Manyara provides an important water source for wildlife and attracts numerous animals and bird species. Explore the park while enjoying the scenery of the lake, woodland, grasslands, and surrounding Rift Valley landscape.
A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site inside the park, followed by additional game viewing during the afternoon.
Later, leave the park and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening and bringing your 2-day safari adventure to an end.
