Day 00: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha

Distance: 45 km
Transfer Time: Approximately 50 minutes

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our safari team and transferred to Arusha for an overnight stay. Once at your accommodation, you will have time to relax and prepare for your upcoming safari adventure.

Our safari representative will provide a detailed briefing covering the itinerary, accommodation arrangements, safari expectations, and the exact pick-up time for the following morning.

Driving Time: 3–4 hours

After breakfast, your safari begins with a departure from Arusha. You will make a short stop in town for any final purchases before continuing towards Tarangire National Park.

Upon arrival, embark on your first game drive through this spectacular wildlife area, with a picnic lunch enjoyed inside the park. Tarangire is particularly famous for its impressive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife.

The park forms part of an important seasonal migration route, attracting large numbers of elephants, wildebeest, zebras, and other wildlife during different times of the year.

After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, proceed to your campsite for dinner and overnight.

Driving Time: 2–3 hours

After breakfast, leave Tarangire behind and continue towards the legendary Serengeti National Park.

The journey takes you through the scenic farmlands around Karatu and across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you travel through the highlands, the landscape gradually changes, revealing the vast open plains of the Serengeti.

Continue towards the central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera area, which is one of the park’s most productive wildlife regions. The Seronera River provides an important source of water, supporting a wide variety of animals throughout the year.

Arrive around lunchtime and enjoy your meal before heading out for an afternoon game drive across the Serengeti plains. Keep your eyes open for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and other wildlife.

Dinner and overnight will be at your campsite within the Serengeti area.

Begin your day early to experience the Serengeti at its most active, while also enjoying the beautiful African sunrise.

After breakfast, continue with a game drive across the Serengeti, searching for wildlife and enjoying the changing scenery of the park. Depending on wildlife movements and the conditions of the day, your safari will continue through the morning before departing towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The journey provides another opportunity to enjoy Tanzania’s spectacular landscapes as you make your way towards the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Arrive at your campsite in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the evening, where you will have dinner and spend the night in preparation for the following day’s crater adventure.

Driving Time: 3–4 hours excluding game viewing

After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable wildlife experience.

Known as one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders, the crater reaches more than 600 meters in depth and supports an exceptional concentration of wildlife. During your crater tour, you may encounter wildebeest, zebras, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, hippos, elephants, and many other species.

The crater is also home to a remarkable variety of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and occasionally the elusive leopard.

You will also have the opportunity to visit the area around Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake located within the crater. The lake often attracts flamingos, hippos, and numerous species of water birds.

After your crater exploration, begin the drive back to Arusha, where your safari comes to an end.
